Grief (the sudden and unexpected death of my husband (of nearly 48 years) in June this year) is an unwelcome companion. It's here for life, and the pain it brings will never go away. For me, anyway.
It clouds the mind, dulls the senses and makes you turn off everything in your life while you deal with all the baggage and more that bereavement brings. Hence, the reason for switching off the FoodStack Library publication and unpublishing everything.
Now that I’ve dealt with all the legal stuff and as my family and I learn to live with our grief, I am now thinking ‘What’s Next?’
With the removal of a letter, FoodStack Library is changing to FoodStak, serving as a companion to the FoodStak website, where most of the old posts and future posts will be reemerged.
If ‘The Kitchn’ can drop a letter in their name, so can I.
As the days, weeks, and months go by, and while I remind myself of how to publish and write again, old posts will reappear, and new ones will drop into your mailbox. As a ‘Follower’, you will never receive these newsletters unless things change at Substack, so please make sure you click the subscribe button below.
Not listed yet? If you are not already listed in the FoodStak directory, please click the button below and complete the form.
Already listed? If you are already listed in the directory but have changed your website/publication name or would like to update your details, please complete the form as well.
PS. A big thank you to the few people who knew of my grief for sending me such kind and comforting words.

Oh Lynn, I'm so sad for you. A life partner is just that--the one person who's always there. And losing one is totally impossible to comprehend unless it happens to you. Welcome back--I like the dropped "c". I dropped a "d" in my company name (Foodesigns, LLC) when email came into vogue (yikes, so long ago. Take care of yourself.
Im so sorry for your loss Lynn 🤍 sending you so much love
